The Government of Pakistan has decided to increase the prices of petrol and from May 27, 2022, the prices of new petrol will be increased by Rs. 30 per litre. The previous government had kept the price of petrol at Rs.
The government says it will have to abide by the terms of the IMF. As Pakistan has taken a loan from the IMF, petrol prices have been increased as per his order. The price of new petrol has been fixed at Rs 179.86 per litre while the price of high-speed diesel has been fixed at Rs 174.15.
